Position Summary:
- Vessel husbandry
- Immigration formalities for vessel arriving and departing Ho Chi Minh / Vung Tau
- Clearance of inward and outward formalities with port authority
- Making loading bayplan for MSC and MAERSK vessel calling Vung Tau and Ho Chi Minh
- The stowage planning team is in charge of finalising discharging and loading plans with the terminal
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide information of vessel for port authority when vessel come the first time
- Declaration of vessel for both arrival and departure to maritime administration, custom, immigration & health quarantine via Vietnam national single window
- Arrange vessel requirement such as shore pass, repair permission, …
- Submit declared papers to maritime administration, custom, immigration & health quarantine
- Come on board to take relevant certificates & docs which will be checked under requirement of port authority
- Receive and check all invoices from ports and elsewhere conformance with actual activities before pass to accounting department
- Making pre & final OBL file
- Send daily berthing report & update onto berthing app
- Sending arrival bayplan/checking with previous port for clarifying arrival bayplan before sending to terminal
- Based on SI sent from central planner, prepare pre-plan which sent to terminal
- Checking pre-plan with captain to follow instruction given by central planner
- Checking berthing available to provide berthing for vessel on arrival
- Co-ordinating with Import / Export dept to solve problem for customers
- Taking care of cargo, especially RF, DG conts loaded onboard MSC, MAERSK vessel
- Taking care of all vessel husbandry when she called Vung Tau / Ho Chi Minh
- Sending out final bayplan to Ro / Planner
- Sending weekly terminal report every Tuesday
Key Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum diploma qualified university, preferably in Logistics or Maritime or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year experience in boarding shipping or forwarding industry and knowledge of container / stowage planning
- At least basic knowledge of operations works of immigration dept, port authority, terminal, quarantine, customs dept
- Working overtime (24/7)
Key Competencies & Skills:
- Positive attitude and able to work under pressure
- Good communication & interpersonal skills
- Intermediate English (verbal and written)
- Ability to work independently
- Good people skills and good relationship with Immigration dept, port Authority, terminal, health quarantine, pilot, customs dept
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to use MS Office
- Visaba certificate is required (company can arrange for the training with condition that new hire will need to sign bonding agreement to work for at least 6 months unless repay the prorated training fee)
