Key duties and responsibilities

  • · Plan and organize department in alignment with company business plan & strategy.
  • · Lead production team and control utility of production resources of labor, machines & equipment, materials and operating budgets to achieve output, product quality and efficiency target.
  • · Oversee the production process and drawing up a production schedule.
  • · Take responsible for the implementation of health and safety measures.
  • · Monitor and ensure that the production is cost effective, also update and implement solutions to improve wherever it is needed.
  • · Monitor the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed;
  • · Make sure that products are produced on time and of right quality at the first time;
  • · Check and ensure the availability of human and material resources needed.
  • · Estimate manhours and monitor labor costs actual vs budget.
  • · Check and approve orvertime requests within budget and compliance with regulations of labor laws.
  • · Review the quality standards, technical requirements and BOM before production starts.
  • · Ensure the right machines and equipments are used, and they are being operated correctly and maintained timely.
  • · Monitor product standards and implement quality-control system.
  • · Maximize the production's performance, while minimize any delays to ensure meeting deadlines.
  • · Plan production scheduling and ensure everything is according to the delivery schedule.
  • · Manage all the work orders within the leadtime, labor cost and materials budget.
  • · Identify where production need to improve, lead and support continuous improvement projects.
  • · Prepare and review reports to provide a full picture of department operation and performance.

1.    Experience and job requirements

1.1.  General requirements

·         Personality: professional, positive, mature, confident, highly motivated, authoritative and above all honest.

·         Strong character and ability to drive and get thing done with respect.

1.2.  Education and Training 

·         BA, BSC or related equivalent degree.

·         Strong background with professional training on production management or engineering.

1.3.  Experience and Qualification

·         Knowledgeable of wood working machines and production processes in wood component, panel, sanding & assembly.

·         Understand industrial manufacturing methods. CNC, detailed processing control, conveyor transport of components and products.

·         Minimal 02 years’ experience in similar position in a foreign furniture manufacturer.

1.4.  Skills and other abilities

·         Strong leadership and excellent management skill is required.

·         Good communication skill in both Vietnamese and English.

·         Proficiency in keyboarding and MS Office suite.

·         Familiar to working with ERP is preferred.

·         Long term engagement and objective oriented is highly desirable.

·         Great attention to detail and organizational skills.

·         The ability to work to deadlines, handle high levels of pressure and critical decision-making.
